JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a well-established start-up, which is a leader in its industry, is looking for a Java Developer/Integrator for its Professional Services team.
Responsibilities:
• Develops complete solutions and improvement strategies
• Delivers professional services to new and existing customers
• Analyzes problems and recommends solutions in the areas of network infrastructure, software design and test strategies
• Delivers technical hands-on training
• Deploys server and client based software
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2-3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and technical consultancy
• Experience in software development using Java
• Experience in large-scale deployment of client and server software
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong presentation and written communication skills
• Creative thinker, proactive, team-player, success- and result-oriented
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2), application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss)
• Understanding of Web security issues and firewalls
• Familiarity with network infrastructure, including web servers, load balancers and firewalls
• Knowledge of UML, cryptography, Web 2.0 techniques, database and network design an asset
• Proficiency in English oral and written, French an asset
• Travel to the United States approximately 30% of time
