JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Assist users identify, collect and document system requirements
• Coordinate the development of technical and functional documentation manuals
• Review business requests for data usage requirements
• Develop data modeling structures to meet those requirements
• Coordinate new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structures
• Research, develop and implement data sources that facilitate new and better data acquisition feeds
• Design, develop and code new data structures to enhance system functionality
• Develop and implement test procedures in order to ensure data quality and system functionality
• Manage data warehouse access and security protocols
• Implement and maintain the SQL database and related windows programming environment including archive, recovery, and load strategy and procedures
• Evaluate SQL database capacity requirements to ensure corporate growth objectives are met
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance
• Provide progress reports on deliverables to management and be accountable for meeting specified deadlines
• Provide support to the user community
• Assist with the training of our users during project rollout
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent
• 5+ years in a similar role
• Good knowledge of BI / Data Warehousing
• Good knowledge with financial processes and reporting systems
• Good Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005, SSIS, SSRS, and OLAP (SSAS)
• Good Knowledge of .NET environment and web development toolsets such as Microsoft SharePoint Server
• Good knowledge of MS Excel (pivot table, VBA, formulas, etc.)
• Experience in IBM Cognos TM1 or Hyperion (asset)
• Strong analytical approach
• Strong attention to quality
• Self-motivated, Pro-active
• Ability to complete assigned tasks under minimal supervision
• Ability to work well with others, particularly as a team member
• Idealy bilingual (English a must, French an asset)
