JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for building and supporting a specific customer messaging infrastructure based on Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010.
Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy customer specific solutions within NHS datacenters
• Installs applications on the servers, updates the servers, evaluates and installs operating system patches
• Ensures that each system component is functioning in order to maintain server performance. Analyzes any problems that are detected. Diagnoses the situation, assesses the consequences, takes the necessary measures within his field of action and ensures follow-up. Documents the steps taken during the problem-solving process
• Prepare and test on a bi annual base a disaster recovery plan
• Provides technical support during incidents or on service request provided by the customer using the system infrastructure
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• DEC in computer science or the equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in system administration in a production environment
• Certification or proven experience on Microsoft Messaging solutions (Exchange 2007/2010, LYNC)
• In-depth knowledge of one or more operating systems (OS) such as MS Windows (required), Linux is a bonus
• Good Knowledge of VMWare 5.1 and above
• Knowledge of the following applications; Citrix XenApp, MS Sharepoint, MS SQL
• Knowledge of the management of SAN environments and magnetic tape libraries
• Knowledge of networking and security concepts
• Ability to write technical documents
• Knowledge of ITIL framework
• Bilingualism (English essential, French is an asset)
