JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client, which offers unique opportunities for growth and professional development through a stimulating and multicultural environment, is looking for a Senior PHP Developer.
Responsibilities:
• Programming complex dynamic applications from scratch in PHP/MySQL, Javascript and AJAX.
• Taking ideas, concepts and/or detailed specifications, work out the details and architecture, and then bring it to life.
• Be equally comfortable completing/debugging another programmers work as starting from scratch.
• Working alone or networked via Basecamp and Skype with a small global in-house programming team.
• Completely testing your own work in all required browsers before passing each task on to quality control/testing for final review and approval.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• BAC in IT or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in custom coding extremely complex dynamic websites and business applications.
• Excellent understanding LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Good understanding of JavaScript, AJAX & Smarty
• Experience in all points of application development processes, including: database design, user interface, e-commerce, security, web services, server administration, and quality assurance.
• Ability to understand/design large systems
• Advanced training and work experience with Apache, Linux, MySQL, PHP, GIT, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, Mod_rewrite, Memcache, Database Design, and Organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
• A good "design sense" (including UX/UI) is required
• Training or extensive experience with Java (an asset)
• Good communication skills in English
