PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

Reporting immediately to the IT Director, the Technical Services Manager (TSM) is responsible for overseeing the unit’s technical operations and the life cycle of its infrastructure. Primary duties include the supervision of assigned staff and the provision for ongoing support of critical computing systems. The TSM is responsible for interactions between staff and others within the unit, throughout Galvion, and vendors of hardware, software and related services. The TSM must work closely with other members of the unit management team to achieve the unit’s goal of providing Galvion with effective systems and technology. The TSM shares responsibility for day-to-day management of the unit with the Director

He will also be responsible for monitoring and managing corporate systems and devices. This position will involve installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, operating systems and the technical component of business applications as well as supporting end-users in their daily tasks across a multi-sites environment.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical leadership to unit staff
Provide detailed guidance where necessary
Train in general principles as well as in areas of expertise
Be prepared to spend significant effort as senior technical staff, in addition to purely management duties
Support and manage Windows workstations and servers’ deployment
Maintain network and servers’ performance by monitoring, analyzing and tuning equipment
Ensure backups’ integrity and full coverage
Execute installation, configuration, and testing of equipment
Perform regular systems upgrades
Operate network monitoring of systems to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties
Manage network and systems security, review security and audit logs, patching, VPN, firewall, switches and related network devices
Comply with various Cyber Security requirements
Install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize service availability
Manage Windows servers and workstations, Active Directory and Office 365 environments
Microsoft SCCM deployments
Implement, monitor and maintain IPS, IDS, MDM CMDB, SIEM, DLP solutions
VMware infrastructure
VEEAM backup solution
VoiP telephony solutions
Maintain technical documentation
Office 365 expert
Support end-users in various ways

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & eXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent Technical Diploma in Networking and Telecommunications
10 years of Network Administration experience
5 years of experience in a similar management role
Work under general guidelines and organize own time to deliver tasks and meet deadlines assigned by supervisor
Expert and first point of contact for networks and Windows system administration
Frequent use and knowledge of industry standards (Internet, Windows, Cyber security)
Experience in a regulated industry (preferably NIST 800.171, CMMC, ITAR)
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
Develop novel technical solutions to assigned problems
Define clear procedures and methods to apply and sustain solutions
Work with others to transfer field expert knowledge and methods
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and administration (documentation) skills
Must be consistent and accurate in the execution of policies and procedures
