Under the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Team Leader and reporting to the IT Operations Director, you will be responsible for the management and operation of networking systems. As the main Network Administrator of the organisation, you will be working closely with the IT Infrastructure team as well as the SysAdmin, Operations and Project teams.

You will be asked to:
•Develop the design and architecture of the network infrastructure
•Ensure the proper operations, the availability and reliability of all networked systems (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, wireless, load balancing, etc.)
•Take part in diagnosing and resolving any network issue (LAN / WAN)
•Working with the data center technician, you will maintain and look after the replacement of hardware and networking software (Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Fortigate, etc.)
•Take part in the technical selection of network and security equipment
•Plan, document and implement procedures necessary for platform operation and optimization
•Ensure that all components have a process for backing up data
•Manage data traffic flowing through the network
•Contribute to various projects having a network component;
•Participate in the execution of any project plan related to deployments
•Develop test benches to test and document changes made in the network or during an implementation of a new technology
•Keep network environment stable when changes are being made in order to ensure technical evolution and deployment of network components
•Prepare reports, manuals and other documents in your area of expertise
•All other related tasks as the company and position continue to evolve

The Challenge: Network Administrator

You have a background that is similar to this:
•College diploma in Computer Science and 5 years of experience in networking, or any other equivalent combination of training and experience
•Knowledge of Cisco and Dell products and networking concepts
•Knowledge of Checkpoint products and firewall and VPN concepts
•Bilingualism (English/French)

Knowledge of one or more of these technologies is an asset:
•Experience in a high-availability environment
•Working knowledge of OSPF and BGP protocols
•Experience in a PCI environment
•Cisco Nexus Architecture
