Reporting to the VP Operations, the Senior Software Developer:
- Will lead a small team of developers in a fast paced development environment;
- Will apply their experience leading high performance teams to ensure our people, processes, and technologies are on the path of continuous improvement and aligned with corporate objectives;
- Has a strong understanding and expertise in web content as well as proprietary custom development software, usability, architecture and design. Responsible for planning and/or implementation of projects;
- Is an expert in troubleshooting, analysing and solving problems with our different Web based or internal systems.
The Senior Software Developer will perform other related duties as requested by his immediate superior, all in accordance with internal procedures and rules.
RESPONSABILITIES
1. Web Development / E-Commerce Management (Fastfinder 15% / Web Dev. 15%)
Build and manage ecommerce websites.
Support our internal custom application (B2B and Fastfinder)
Works in collaboration with our Marketing team in regard to our website.
Interface with other departments, customers, vendors and other third party as necessary to ensure timely resolution to any product related issues
Troubleshoots and debugs qualified system issues.
Develop effective strategies and goals for our B2B in conjunction with other internal teams (Sales and Marketing).
Analyse competitive solutions.
Sustain the Website lifecycle.
2. Project Management 70 %
Responsible for B2B, Websites and Fastfinder.
Manage project budget and resource allocation.
Interacts regularly with internal / external clients (EDI) to determine their needs and to develop plans for improvement.
Communicates feedback from customers with other departments.
Work closely with the VP Operations to plan and deliver high quality software development projects on time and on budget.
Support the programmers for the development of multiplatform applications.
Provide leadership and expert guidance to other team members.

ACADEMIC SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong programming skills: (ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, C/C++, JavaScript and Kentico).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
5 years and more of experience in software development and project management.
Proven track record of leading a small team.
5 years and more of experience in coding.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Web Development.
Knowledge of Agile (Scrum), waterfall methodology would be an asset.
Experience leading a website launch would be an asset.
Must have led several projects from inception to completion.
Good knowledge of databases (Microsoft SQL 2014).
Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
MVC methodology experience would be an asset.
Kentico platform development experience would be an asset.
Project Management certification would be an asset.
Proficient in web security vulnerabilities and secure coding practices
Related experience in the automotive industry would be an asset.
This position does not require travel.
